On April 27, 2023, students of the Ala-Too International University took 2nd place at the Olympiad in economics among students, which was held at the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Kyrgyz Republic named after Zh. Abdrakhmanov.

At this Olympiad, AIU was represented by students of the Department of Economics (Finance and Credit, International Economics and Business) – Asadilla kyzy Uulkan, Damirov Altai, Aitbai kyzy Aizat, Bekbolotova Nargiza and Seyitova Aksana.

The Olympiad was held in two rounds, where participants passed online testing, performed tasks in economics, accounting and finance. At the second stage, students solved situational problems. Based on the results of the second round, the AIU team took the honorable 2nd place among 10 teams.
